About Petal Path Montessori Academy

Petal Path Montessori Academy is a small-group, drop-in, Montessori-inspired enrichment program where children build confidence, independence, and practical life skills through hands-on exploration and purposeful play. Our sessions are designed to be inclusive and supportive of children with diverse learning styles in a calm, welcoming environment.

We offer drop-in enrichment experiences intended to complement a child’s existing school or caregiving arrangement. Petal Path Montessori does not provide full-time care, schooling, or therapeutic services.

Families are also welcome to use our on-site caregiver space during session times, which includes a comfortable area to work remotely or relax, along with a coffee maker and workspace amenities.

Practical Life Skills

Through tasks such as caring for their environment, organizing materials, and practicing self-help routines, children build focus, responsibility, and a strong sense of capability that supports learning in all areas.

Creative Exploration

Children are encouraged to express themselves through open-ended creative activities, including art, movement, and imaginative play. What ages do you serve?

Most of our enrichment sessions are designed for children ages 2–6, with specific age ranges varying by program. Each session clearly lists its intended age range.

Is this a full-time school or an enrichment program?

Petal Path Montessori is a drop-in enrichment program. We are not a full-time school or childcare center. Our sessions are designed to supplement a child’s current school, homeschool, or childcare program by offering meaningful, Montessori-inspired enrichment experiences during scheduled class times only.

What does a typical session look like?

Our enrichment sessions provide Montessori-inspired, hands-on experiences in a small-group setting. Children engage in purposeful activities that encourage independence, creativity, and social connection through play and exploration within a prepared environment.Sessions follow a gentle, predictable flow and are designed to complement a child’s current school or caregiving arrangement.

Do children need prior Montessori experience?

Petal Path Montessori Academy offers enrichment programs for young children, typically in the early childhood years. Our activities are thoughtfully designed to support each child’s developmental stage, and we focus on meeting children where they are rather than following rigid age-based expectations.

Can my child’s RBT or ABA provider attend a session for support?

In some cases, a child may attend an enrichment session with their own support person, such as an RBT or other provider, if this has been arranged in advance and aligns with the child’s individual needs.Petal Path Montessori does not provide therapeutic services and does not supervise, direct, or manage outside providers. Any outside support person remains under the direction and responsibility of the child’s family and their employing agency while attending an enrichment session.All outside providers must follow Petal Path Montessori policies and guidelines while on site to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

What qualifications do the instructors have?

Petal Path Montessori enrichment sessions are led by guides with backgrounds in early childhood education and experience supporting young children in group settings. Our team has worked with children across a wide range of developmental profiles, including neurodivergent children, and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment.Guides focus on facilitating enrichment experiences through play, exploration, and relationship-based support. Petal Path Montessori does not provide therapeutic, clinical, or special education services.
